Stacey Pullen – a true Detroit techno legend – steps up to provide a killer 14-track mix to celebrate 14 months of Société Perrier. After being mentored by the Belleville Three (the formidable team of Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May), Pullen went on to become one of the most important of Detroit’s ‘second wave’ of producers. But though rooted in techno, Pullen’s style is wide enough to cover a range of bases, including classic garage-influenced house, which he breaks out in the first track of his mix, before taking in some seriously deep moods, ranging from punchy club techno to hypnotic house.
